Yifan is a third-year Ph.D. candidate from the Individualized Interdisciplinary Program (Computational Media and Arts) at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. She is co-supervised by Prof. Huamin QU and Prof. Yang WANG.
She got her Bachelor's Degree at Zhejiang University as a Chinese Literature and Linguistic top 4% student from Chu Kochen Honors College. Then, she graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) with a Global Communication M.A. Before pursuing further study at HKUST, she worked as a journalist and editor for two years at Tencent and Jazzyear.
Her research interests include Human-Computer Interaction, social computing, digital humanities, and visual analytics for Blockchain data, specifically NFTs. She is also interested in data art and VR/AR applications. Her research was accepted by the IEEE art project (IEEE AP), the International Journal of Human-Computer Interaction (IJHCI), and the IEEE International Conference on Big Data and Smart Computing (IEEE BigComp).
