CMA Thrust Assistant professor Varvara Guljajeva has just delivered a dual paper presentation at the latest installment of the DRHA conference, Kingston University, UK – a leading platform for digital research in arts and humanities. Two research papers were presented: Making Sense of the NFT Art Market co-authored with the CUDAN research fellow Mar Canet, and the upcoming paper Telematic performance forced by pandemic: NeuroKnitting Beethoven co-authored with Mar Canet and CMA PhD student Yuri Kuzmin. Both research projects are rooted in Dr. Guljajeva’s creative practice as one half of the artist duo Varvara & Mar, critically engaging with the shifting landscapes of post-pandemic art.

Additionally, Varvara & Mar’s artwork Keep Smiling (2022) is featured in the DRHA2022 exhibition programme inspired by the theme of this year’s conference – Digital Sustainability: From Resilience to Transformation.
