Enabling Possibilities with Art and Technology
Introduction
For this talk, MetaObjects will share their work with Hong Kong artist Samson Young for his works using 3D printing and robotics, and Shanghai artist Lu Yang using live motion-capture technology and games.
MetaObjects will also share how they work with cultural institutions such as M+, Tai Kwun and Asia Society to develop a deeper understanding of advanced technologies to help realize complex creative projects.
MetaObjects will discuss their approach to knowledge sharing and artistic collaboration, and how they seek to bridge the gaps between sectors and disciplines of art, technology and academia. The intention is to enable new artistic possibilities with technology, where technology is not an end in-itself, but a means to expand forms of creative expression.
