Theo Papatheodorou
Theo Papatheodorou, PhD, FRSA, is a Professor of computational art and creative technology enthusiast. He completed his masters and PhD in computer science at Imperial College London and has taught and researched computational arts since 2011 at various institutions in Greece and the UK. Since 2015, he worked at Goldsmiths, University of London where he directed the MA/MFA in Computational Arts, led as Director of Postgraduate Studies, and ultimately, as Deputy Head in the Department of Computing.
Currently, he is Professor of practice at the computational media arts department of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in Guangzhou, China.
He is the co-founder of Random Quark, a creative technology studio, which builds state-of-the-art interactive experiences. Theo enjoys blurring the line between the real and the virtual as he explores topics in artificial intelligence, data visualisation, affective computing and human machine interaction.
